Slugs defeated (pictorial evidence)

3 weeks ago I bought two little dahlias from a local shop. The other was to take to a friend but I then succumbed to Covid and it has sat on the wall waiting to be delivered. Look at difference! Not a strulch marketeer but definitely worth considering if you still have anything left to preserve (New plant since acquired for friend)

Slugs are horrendous this year, eating everything in sight

Satisfying, isn't it.

Haven't tried strulch but I have found sheep's wool pellets quite effective, and my dahlias are looking pretty chipper.

The real test will be when I plant my zinnias out.

Slugs aren't good for hedgehogs as they pass on parasites. Apparently they're a food of last resort.

Well, along with the meaty lumps and cat food she's enjoying my slugs!
