Help with my Birds Of Paradise

Hi everyone

Need some help here - I have just bought my first ever plant and in the last week it doesn't seem to be so happy. Please see photos.

some leaves have become crumpled in the corners and split, and some leaves have a 'burnt' look - despite it not being in direct sun light since I bought it :(

Please let me know how to help them. I've sprayed it once with neem oil / water / soap mix, which got rid of some white marks it had but in the last 24 hrs it seems to be its most sad. it's watered once a week thoroughly and no water logging in bottom of pot. currently in my care for 2 weeks,

It's been in a spot where drafts carry through so it could be that? it does get sunlight but not all day. it's in the best spot for sunlight in my room, positioned between two windows. what do you all think i can do to look after the lil fella? :(

It looks OK to me, transporting a plant is always going to be a bit of a shock, it needs a bit of time to settle into its new environment. I'd keep going as you are and reevealuate if it gets worse.

As the other poster said, its likely come from a very carefully controlled environment and is now a bit shocked. You might get the answer/further help on MN, but I'm also on gardeners corner forum. I often get more specific replies to plant queries on there.

Apparently they like humidity so could it be too dry in that room? Maybe it would be happier in the bathroom if you have space.
