Hypericum

This has appeared in my garden, and I could usefully move it to fill a space but will it take over? It has also seeded up my drive so perhaps I shouldn’t encourage it?
if I pull it up, I will need something to go between 2 dark leaved hedge Veronica shrubs - any suggestions for something to provide good contrast either structurally or colour, maybe bright green?

I don't know - I've had a hypericum appear too, I'm wondering if I should leave, move, or remove.

Which Hypericum? There are lots! But if you’re talking about moving it, presumably either Tutsan, Hypericum androsaemum, with clusters of smallish flowers followed by black berries, or Rose of Sharon, Hypericum calycinum, with big flowers with lots of stamens. Tutsan, in my experience, seeds itself around, so it doesn’t really matter where you plant it, it will still get to where it wants to be. Rose of Sharon stays put, but is difficult to kill. I’ve been cutting one back for best part of 30 years and it still keeps appearing out of the middle of a very spiny Japanese quince.
