What stake to use for tall standard rose.

At the moment it's got a bamboo cane and is in a pot as it's not grown much. I'd like to get it in the ground. What kind of stake would you use....?

Hello BigDahliaFan,

Most people go for a 5-6cm square post however I think a round one of the same dimension looks good. To support your standard rose use a stake that is the full length of the stem. When putting in the stake try not to damage the rootball.
