Do tomatoes have to be grown in tomato grow bag soil?

Or am I ok to put them in the compost I’ve got and feed them with tomato feed ?

Yes they can go in regular compost but feed them as you say.

We had a baby plum tomato plant grow from a seed that had been through the compost heap.

They'll grow anywhere, just give them some tomato food every now & then 🙂

Yes, you can grow them in ordinary compost in pots. Or split the bag across the middle and plant one in each bit. Or you can grow them in greenhouse bed as long as it's only once every four years (to allow any disease to die away).

Absolutely! I rarely use tomato grow-bags.
