re rasberries: plant seeds east to west so plants face south for best sunlight

OP posts:
Furball · 14/04/2008 19:17

Thanks KTmoomoo? Still abit confused. Is it OK to put them on west facing fence with no shade apart from until the sun pops over that fence at about 10 ish? Then will be in strong sunlight for the rest of the day?

Furball · 14/04/2008 19:17

oh yay! you will get bored of me, kt. i am keen but clueless beginner.

have just spent a couple of hours digging over and replanting asparagus heads (hopefully) properly this time! (much more detailed instructions on back of newest packet of heads)

wish id known i couldve asked you in the first place!

Q - i have 16 little sweetcorn plants ive grown from seed in the plugs in the greenhouse. i want to plant them in a group rather than a line to make best of wind pollination (heard this on gdnrs q time) but how far apart do they need to be pls? 10 inches all around ok?

also they (like all the veg) are going into raised beds filled with topsoil and a thick layer of rotted manure, all of which cover either hardcore or fairly clay soil, depending on which bit as it used to be a rose gdn)... do i need to dig the manure right in? its been on there for a couple of months.

Tnog · 16/04/2008 16:47

Kt, if one has a pampas grass does it indicate that you may be a bit of a.... swinger?

MarshaBrady · 16/04/2008 16:50

hello KT, what should I do with the daffodils once they've stopped flowering?

Do I pull them out. Or should I just cut them to the ground?

Thanks
