Now. Mine have been out for a week South East

NanTheWiser · 12/05/2024 16:35

Yes, seems about the right time, I think! I purchased some trays of petunias yesterday, and hoping to plant my pots up during the coming week, hopefully.

Last bank holiday.

Mine are all out. Looking lovely.

Mine have been out for weeks and are blooming! I live in London.

Luddite26 · 12/05/2024 18:45

I'm up North, well Yorkshire, so beginning of June for me or maybe bank hol weekend weather dependent!

SnapdragonToadflax · 12/05/2024 18:46

They can definitely go out now. I would usually say late April/early May unless there's a frost on the horizon.

80skid · 12/05/2024 18:46

Today!!!

I've been holding off because the slugs destroy them and rain is forecast this week. But maybe I need to take the plunge!

TakeMe2Insanity · 12/05/2024 18:51

Mine were out last week but have been eaten 😞

Caspianberg · 12/05/2024 18:55

Our geraniums never come in and the vast majority of them survive

Caspianberg · 12/05/2024 19:29

@Neverpostagain - it’s -15 most winters here and thick snow so they don’t survive.

I always plant Beginning April along about 20m of balcony and then they are all big enough to hang down nicely in June. And I buy them smaller so cheaper.

Coastalcreeksider · 12/05/2024 19:34

I'm right down on South coast, mine are out now, pots and hanging baskets.

Went to a plant nursery during the week, elderly chap owns it and asked if it was OK to put out now and he said yes.

So I have. 😁

I’m in Suffolk and mine have all been out for a few weeks. I get fed up with all my seeds hanging about in the end and they have to fend for themselves 😂

I am still picking up a few annuals here and there. Been doing this for years and never had anything die yet. I’m not precious about these things though.
