How to stain/paint fence to look like cedar.

I have recently fitted a pressure treated wooden slatted fence (I couldn’t afford cedar as it was ££)

I dislike the yellow colour and prefer the look of cedar (see attached inspo) I know it will age silver colour- but I also dislike the silver grey colour too 😂

What kind of wood stain/oil/paint should I be looking for to get this expensive looking warm/brow cedar effect?

Some time ago I bought fence stain that was called cedar. Google B&Q etc to see if that colour is still available

Did you use it to stain non cedar wood?

The wood I have is not actually cedar. I’m not sure what it is.

Ah. I don’t think you’ll be able to go lighter to cedar from the darker colour you already have.

That will paint up lovely.

Go into the stores as they often have some wood painted near the pots to give you a better idea.
