Dealing with dead birds (doesn't happen often but I hate it).

Weeding. We are surrounded by farmer,s fields, and all the pernicious field edge weeds grown through and under the drystone walls - couch grass, nettles, cleavers, horsetail, bramble, plus a hundred others. It's a losing battle.

Anything I’ve already been doing for an hour. I don’t think there’s anything I dislike, but my boredom threshold is low. By the time I’ve filled three builders’ trugs with weeds, I’ve had enough and need to go on to pruning or repotting

Weeding. I am fat, and getting down on my knees to do anything is horrible.

I don't like standing on my steep slope to trim the hedges. It's hard work just trying to stand still.

Also weeding. Fucking dandelions are insidious.

All of it! We usually have a gardener but paused him about 6 months ago because we had been doing some renovating and it wasn’t worth worrying about the garden.
Tomorrow dh and I have committed to spending the whole damn bloody day sorting it out 😭 pulling up a whole pile of soil which has turned itself into a pissing meadow full of weeds with all this rain, sweeping and the patio and all down the side of the house and the paths etc, cleaning out the chickens, just really boring crap that I hate and usually don’t get involved in any of.
I loathe gardening of all kinds, I only like sitting out there when it’s sunny (so never 😂).

Collecting slugs and parceling them up to send to the Haribo factory.

Creating structures for climbers.

I've got a fair few obelisks but they rarely support climbers. ( note, I LOVE climbers.)
Climbing plants need more support ( width ways) than most obelisks offer. So I have to sit ( fat and arthritic) and do this fussy weaving and knotting job to provide more structure. I'm lucky to also have hazel sticks and canes but it's the effing weaving that I need to do.

I hate rose pruning with a vengeance.

Weeding and slug "management"

Emptying wheelbarrows. I leave full wheelbarrows all round the garden and it drives dh mad because he has to empty one before he can use it.

Yes! DH does this! Drives me mad too!

I enjoy weeding. Sitting down amongst the flowers spotting new things and sniffing all the scents

I enjoy the vast majority of gardening, but probably cleaning out pots and arranging/getting things in and out of the shed, because it's so faffy.

I don't like turning the compost heap

Weeding. Love planting and watering and tending the grass and pruning. Hate weeding.

Mowing. So boring. The upside of becoming disabled is that I can’t do it anymore so can pay somebody to do it for me without feeling lazy and entitled.

I turn the heap only when I’ve emptied one compartment and need to put the unrotted stuff from the next compartment into it, so I can get to the beautiful dark crumbly compost beneath. Happens only twice a year, so a cause for celebration.

What I don’t like, I realised today, is shovelling the last load out of the bottom.
