I left around a dozen in the ground and only one has a few tiny shoots so far. I also have several in pots in the cold frame but only two of those are showing signs of life. I don’t think I will be getting my usual bumper blooms this year!

I have left some in the ground and some I dug up and put in pots. The ones in pots are doing well but the ones in the ground haven't appeared yet... I'm hopeful they will still come up, just waiting for more sunshine. Cheshire. UK.

I personally wouldn't be worried yet, it's been pretty cold this year so far

Ok so I’ve just found some buds in the ground. I’m SW though and no Cafe au Lait yet. Seem to remember they sprouted later.

Am in London and mine are in pots in the greenhouse but only three out of six have got any shoots popping through yet. Am hoping the others are ok.

I moved two of the pots in the garage up to the house yesterday in the hope that they will start sending up a shoot.

So far I have three dahlias with shoots in the garage but two more pots I may have to move to the house in the hope that they will also show signs of life.

On the plus side, my tomatoes have lots of shoots coming up now and my zinnia seeds are also coming through. All of these are in the house.

I was at Wisley today and none of their outside dahlias in their trial fields were showing any signs of life.

That gives me hope!

I bitterly regret not digging up my beautiful collection of Pom-poms, dinner plates and cactus. I mulched them with a huge layer of leaves but not so sure that was enough. It is still bitterly cold in SW 🥶

May in general. My Mum used to have them and her used to shoot up in May.
