Why is just one stem of my rubber plant sad and droopy? (Photo)

This plant has been thriving since we bought it around 18 months ago.

There are three stems and I’ve noticed over the past few weeks that one of them is very sad and droopy indeed.

I try to take care not to under- or over-water it and can’t work out a) why it’s unhappy and b) why it’s just the one!

Any advice please?

It looks a bit leaf heavy on the right hand side and not much on the left. I would just stake it up and it should be okay

Thanks, it might just be the photo but I don’t understand why the leaves are drooping?

It’s even droopier today, the other stems are still upright and fine. What could be causing this, desperate to find a cure?!

I suspect your rubber plant is not one plant, but 3 that share a pot.

It could be a simple as that one is being outcompeted by the other two.

I do have another pot with just one plant in it. Do you think the droopy one would take well to being transplanted or could that finish it off for good?!

You can never be sure, but if it's clearly unhappy I would. I would put it on its own in a new pot just to be sure, incase it's something catching. Take a good look at the roots too, make sure nothing's eating them.

Check the roots, if you are going to split them or repot them make sure you add root myc to the soil tohelp prevent root shock
