My dahlia tubers did nothing...

Planted new bought tubers in shallow ish compost in pots about 5 weeks ago, soil kept moist, in a conservatory so warm, but not too warm. 10 of them. Not a shoot between them.

Can I ressurect them in any way or are they all just duffers?

Do the tubers still feel firm? If so, just leave them. I’m sure they’ll come up eventually. Mine haven’t sprouted yet.

It's still early.

It's been pretty chilly so might just be too early. Strange you haven't had any come up yet though. Have you had a (very) careful dig? How moist is the soil? Not soggy?

I potted mine up 2-3 weeks ago and they're just started to sprout now. In same place as yours, bright conservatory, cold but gets warm quickly in the sun.

Out of 4 only one of mine is sprouting yet.

Still early. I have about 12 dahlias and se s shoots on 2 of those, so far - and they are the ones I suspect are closer to the surface.

Glad to know it's a bit early. It's my first time planting Dahlia tubers and I'm a bit impatient Wink

I just planted mine as my garden is, in general, a late one.
If they are still there and firm, they will come out!

I might unearth one tomorrow and give it a prod.
Gardening is teaching me alot about patience! I want everything to grow NOW please! But it's so bloody cold! Angry
