Will a yew hedge roots spread to damage foundation on house?

I can't find anything online. I know yew trees - however slow growing - are not recommended to plant near a house, but are clipped hedges the same?
Box hedges are ok, I think. I don't know if keeping a hedge trimmed, reduces its root spread. Can anyone help on this?

ps And if there is tarmac/drive between hedge and house does that make a difference?

No they won't. They wouldn't plant them in churchyards if they were invasive.
