Bouquet of flowers that I want to ripen quickly

Haven't used the right word but just brought some pretty flowers for my parents room tomorrow for Easter but they are closed up (tulips, daffodils etc) - is there a way to get them to open up - leave them out of water/ out next to Aga etc etc?

Keep them in a warmer place (not too close to the Aga). Leaving them out of water will do nothing but harm

I always buy cut flowers in bud, if I can. They’ve been chilled to stay in bud for transporting and will fully bloom as soon as they warm up. Although , you’ve given them now, bought flowers should go straight into water when you get them home. Leaving them in their wrapper is ok.
