Fuschia cutting taken late

I took a fuchsia cutting back in September and stuck it in a little vase of water. It rooted and I only got around to potting it up at the end of October. I'd like to try to grow it as a standard so haven't pinched the leading tip out (don't know the technical term for rhat). Anyhoo, it's sitting happily on my kitchen window sill. I think I should have started hardening it off to put outside but I got all my timing wrong. Shall I just keep it indoors until the spring or do i need to put it outside?

Too late to put it out i'm afraid.

@DesteB do you reckon it will end up too soft and sappy?

Keep it in a cool room and it won't grow much over winter.

My non hardy fuchsias in pots in the garden are still merrily flowering so you never know! I'm in the SE though.

@OnGoldenPond I'm in the Midlands so not massively cold. This is a new cutting though so I wasn't sure if I was doing it more harm keeping it in the kitchen than sticking it outside

Try and move it to somewhere cooler, toilet windowsill, spare bedroom windowsill?

@MereDintofPandiculation you read my mind! I thought this morning I'm going to put it on the toilet windowsill because I don't have a radiator in there.
