i saw my first ant of 2008 today

Lol I saw one a day or two ago

And a wasp

i've not seen a wasp yet. seen lots of bees though, very fat ones.

We keep seeing ladybirds... but that's because there are nests of them in the house and when the heating is on for a long-time they all wake up and wander about. It's happened with butterflies too on previous years.

Have also seen a couple of bumble-bees outside this year and a drowned green caterpillar on the drive today.

I got frogspawn on the first of March

i have also seen a big fat bee. no ants yet, although my mum has loads at the moment.

me too. inside the front door. sigh.

You want ants?? I can give you ants. Thousands of them. What's your address, I'll send you some matchboxes full of the little b*ggers!!

ive got some in one of my strawberry planters. apparently its a Good Thing.

i too can offer ants aplenty to sit on your log. and frogspawn (but luckily not in my house), bumble bees and a honey bee yesterday.

So late - ours started about a week ago. Little sh*ts.

PS Nippon is No1 on my To Buy list when we come back to the UK on leave next week!!

I've got some in the bathroom really must remember to get some ant powder!
