That is a Tradescanthia.

You can get them probably from 99.9% of places that sell houseplants.

If you know the owner of this one, they’re easy from cuttings

@MereDintofPandiculation I have a purple one and think people are actively avoiding coming to my house as everyone who enters is pressured into taking a rooted cutting home. Bits break off easily when i am just trying to water it and grow roots within 2 days when popped into water. I might have to start a business selling them, the supply is endless.

Do you mean the startlingly purple one with pink flowers, or te purple one with metallic silver stripes? I'd like one of either, but I always forget about houseplants, and I haven't got a windowsill for them that isn't also occupied by cats.

It is purple and metallic. Not sure about flowers, it hasn't made any yet. Seems to be fine taking over the world with asexual reproduction though! I never wanted house plants as I would prefer my hayfever outside and they will never get dusted. Ds2 had other ideas though. He loves a plant or 10.
