Is it time to harvest my green tomatoes? (Midlands)

I have some lovely tomatoes ripening on the vine in my outdoor raised beds. I’ve been gradually picking off the ripe ones and there are still a lot of green tomatoes left.

The weather has now turned. And we’re going away for a week. Should I bring in all my tomatoes now and let them ripen indoors or chance it for another week and leave them outside? No frost is forecast but the temperature will drop down to 6 degrees. WWYD?

Green tomato chutney?

Not a fan, I’m afraid.

I’d bring them in. It may be superstition but I feel they ripen better if you leave them on their trusses

Thank you. Time to get out the secateurs and the tissue paper!
