Bringing tender plants that have been outside back in... pests?

If you put any tender plants outside in summer, what (if anything) do you do to get rid of slugs and other unwanted fauna before bringing them back into the house?

Inspect the outside and bottoms of the pots and flick off any slugs. That’s all I do

Thanks.

I'm not sure why I'm worrying about slugs anyway, I'm getting the slimy beggars squeezing in somehow anyway. How do they get past a patio door which I don't get any draughts through?ConfusedHmmGrin

Through the windows? Air holes? Hole round the boiler outlet?

You can get a slug killing drench for plants. You will be keeping them pretty dry, I presume, so slugs won’t like it. Watch out for aphids though.
