Well, I've got a pot out the back that has a strawb plant I planted 2 summers ago and has survived 2 winters, so yes I'd have thought so .... tho' of course it could be a softy pampered greenhouse-grown plant that may need a bit of sheltering when it first meets the harsh outdoors!

I'm trying to think when I planted them originally ... I have a feeling it was around April.

Hmmm, most varieties fruit in June, they need to grow and flower before then .... I'd say risk it and put them out now. If it looks as though you may get some hard frosts after they've first gone out you could aways throw a sheet of newspaper or something over them to protect them.

Good luck!
