This azalea is very dependable, gorgeous each May. Was given to us several years ago by a keen gardener freind who died too young.

Thanking everyone for sharing your garden colour.. so many beautiful flowers and vines!

Gribbit987 · 18/05/2025 23:18

I struggled to arrange in a vase! The roses wouldn’t play ball 🤣 The stems aren’t straight like commercial roses and a lot are very short.

Roses are David Austin: Lichfield angel, Alan Titchmarsh, Princess Alexandra of Kent, Anne Boleyn, Lady Gardener and then one which isn’t DA that I can’t remember - the mid pink frilly one. Bees love it as it’s an open rose.

We have solid clay soil and I find roses the most reliable plant for all season colour. So I have a lot!

Some seem immune to aphids and black spot. Some have a lot of disease... I don’t spray or treat them in any way (except very occasional seaweed). So it’s just luck of the draw!

Beautiful tulips! Mine have gone on forever which is a pleasant surprise.

ApolloandDaphne · 20/05/2025 14:38

My only peony bud has opened and it is beautiful. Also my wildflower meadow is looking lovely. Last year was its first year and we had mainly daisies. This time there is a lot of scabious, valerian and geum through it. My poppies are on the verge of opening and they will provide a glorious splash of colour.

Morning all! Love all those roses. My GJ has flowered but it’s quite restrained - not in the ideal spot I realise - too dry (but too established to move).

Alliums and geraniums are looking good in my garden at the moment. This geranium can flop as soon as it gets a little dry so this year I’ve put in a support which has really helped.

My saliva that I think I purchased for £2.50 from b&m is finally starting to bloom and looks lovely. I must get a picture later.
