Some photos as promised. The garden is starting to look lush. The geums are beautiful a the exochorda is showing off as usual. I had my head turned by the gorgeous aquilegia but I have no idea how well it will survive the winter in my windy east coast of Scotland garden!

It's fairly new. We had the garden landscaped about 2 years ago, both hard landscaping and planting. It's been interesting to see what our garden likes/dislikes and we are starting to make our own decisions about different plants and also moving and splitting plants. DH retired not long ago and he now has the time to lavish on the garden. It's never looked better!

My gertrude jekyll that I potted at the start of the month was tiny at the time. It has grown amazingly in one month and I can already see lots of buds. It's grown much more than the Queen of sweden I planted in the ground.
It's my first year with roses thanks to the gardening forum on here and I am so excited to see them bloom in the summer.

@Trueloveneverdies that is gorgeous. Can I ask what kind of rose and how old? We planted a new climber last year and it is indistinguishable from the shrub roses at this point - wondering how long before I get some height.

We have a rosebud. I will try and take a pic tomorrow.

First rose - desdemona. Also some very happy geums.

Thank you. It’s a David Austin climber called Claire Austin. I bought it as a bare root and its three years old. I was quite brutal with the pruning at the beginning to get some height. I took off all the lower branches leaving just two. Then arched them up and out to get lateral branches to flower. Good luck with yours!

Currently just started loving gardening. Think this is because ex husband never let me garden so it's taken some healing but 3 years later and it's something I. Really enjoy. Took wood up at bottom patio at bottom and shed plus the artifical and I am currently growing my own grass etc and planted a plum tree yesterday:)

My rose tree and another tree arrives in next few days :)

I bought 2 of those for pots in a shaded area, hoping to hide a drab wall. Lots of challenges but there has been some nice growth since bare roots were planted end of March

Montana has come on a treat since I planted it last Spring. Dripping with flowers.

Rockery is as colourful as I've ever seen it, thanks to the good growing conditions this spring.

Crocuses were also amazing. they've died back now and I'm itching to mow the patch of grass that's quite straggly and long, but another week won't harm. All in a good cause so the bulbs build strength for next year.
