I am sure your roof terrace will be fabulous @Whataretalkingabout .

Thank you dear @AnneKipankitoo ! It is not definitely not the same ....
However I do appreciate all the more seeing the fruits of your labor.

@EllasNonny , AK2, is right! Where abouts in the World are you? I adore quirky. Here's another bunny for youEaster Grin
@Rosemaryandlavender1 your seeds look like they are off to a good start..looking forward to seeing the progress along the way. That Rosemary is fabulous
@applecatchers36 , my old friend!, I've been thinking of you, also. It is great to see the thread burst into life. Dulwich Park looks enchanting!
@menopausalmare I love your wisteria and the lavender ones are my favorite.
@AnneKipankitoo your tulips are doing so well this year in your lasagne pots...so colourful..I especially like the sweet light pink ones.🌷🌷🌷

I'm on the coast in North Yorkshire. That's around 10% of my garden pictured. I retired in my 40s on medical grounds and the garden keeps me sane... and busy.
I will post some more photos. From a 20+ft waterfall (DH created that when he was furloughed during Covid) surrounded by gunnera to a spinning chimney top picked up on market place, anything that adds interest I'll add.
My latest bed is made up of topiary balls and obelisks. I initially grew them through chicken wire to help with the shape. They're still fairly small but will look better as it gets established.
I'm glad I have a 'before' photo to show me how far it's come.

@EllasNonny your garden is a masterpiece! Well done!

applecatchers36 · 29/04/2025 07:25

Thanks for the pics that is quite the transformation EllasNonny!

EllasNonny · 29/04/2025 07:48

Thank you. I had no skills, knowledge, help or money, but knew what I liked. x

AnneKipankitoo · 29/04/2025 07:54

Wow, @EllasNonny . That is some transformation.
Well done you!

Seeing the before and after is really inspiring @EllasNonny

Sweetpea1532 · 29/04/2025 17:25

@EllasNonny We must be distant cousins and our DHs, too. My DH has been dying for a waterfall just like the one your DH created during lockdown! Heres a photo of some of my eclectic garden art...I dug the cactus out of my neighbour's bin..it's made of heating duct for the loft.
We must have had an earthquake the day of the photo as I've just noticed the garden art is quite crooked Easter Confused

It was almost comical how well hidden these figs were until they were almost falling off. Having fed them (once Blush), I had a vague awareness there was some fruit on the tree but they linger in the small, hard, green phase for so long I didn't give it a lot of thought.

They will be lovely in late summer to autumn.
I miss our fig tree so much since we moved (and fear the philistines who bought our house will just cut it down, along with the bullace, pear and greengage trees).
We took cuttings but it will be a few years before we get any fruit.

Hullo @Sweetpea1532! Lovely to hear from you all or more 'see from you'. Loving all the bursts of colour and different flowers.

I moved home and have an absolute mess of a garden so I'm not only overwhelmed, I'm also missing out on all the planting and growing. Currently have a very bumpy and weed filled garden that needs to have borders added and the ground levelled and seeded 😮‍💨.

Will be taking lots of inspiration from everyone's pictures.

This is truly inspirational, thank you so much for sharing. You must get so much joy out of your beautiful garden.

WobblyLondoner · 29/04/2025 19:31

Hello! Thank you so much for the nudge. I’ve had a hard year or so - but my garden is proving a salvation. This is my favourite time of year - lush and green, before things start flopping and getting slug raddled or crispy. I especially love my euphorbia.

Goodness, my things have changed (photos are ‘under review’..)

Lovely to catch up on some familiar names and to see some new gardens. @EllasNonny 👏👏👏

WobblyLondoner · 29/04/2025 19:40

This is the shady corner. Those hosta leaves! Apparently they are a culinary delicacy in Japan, but I can’t imagine being so blase about them that I could eat them.

Lovely to see everyone's photos! This year there seem fewer slugs, but I am having to water already (from the water butt's!). My tulips are good this year and the alluims and salvia are about to do their purple thing!!!

ApolloandDaphne · 29/04/2025 21:40

I will need to get out and take some photos. We have really got stuck in to the garden this spring as it was neglected a bit last year for a number of reasons. Some things are doing well and some are struggling. Salvias appear to hate our garden. Geums on the other hand love it.

Lovely @tartyflette

Yours are fabulous, @AnneKipankitoo — they are lasting so well this year, aren’t they?
