Sunflowers

Has anybody else's gone crazy this year? We've measured one at 2m70cm this morning!

I can see one out of my bedroom window in a neighbour's garden that reaches the eaves of their 2 storey house, so at least 4.5m

Mine fell into two camps...

• Some flowered short and very early (around June time)
• Some have grown massive and are only just coming into flower now

Same varieties and same sowing times. Different spots on the garden.

No, mine all got eaten 😢but I have seen loads around the area and they all seem huge! My sil showed us a photo of one of theirs which is about 8ft tall and the flower hadn't even started to open yet! They are In Chicago though.
