Bark chippings -will they just become a giant cat toilet ?

Trying to decide what to put underneath the trampoline when we get one. Bark chippings seem the obvious choice but I'm convinced the cats will just use it as a litter tray.

2 cats either side of us, others nearby and we have one cat (but she generally only uses her litter tray to the extent that she'll meow at the door to come in to use it but thats another story)

Whats your experience?

YES!

we had anightmare with next doors cat, several people told us to get our own cat as that would stop the neighbours cat coming in and crapping on our grass.

Oh no - the bloody cat invites all her mates to come in and crap everywhere. So we decide to get rid og the grass and have decking (quite a small garden) so the cats have no where to crap. All going well until one morning I see the cats front paws on the decking, arse haning off.... you've guessed it - crapping!!!!!

Sorry that really disn;t answer your question did it!

We had bark chippings and it was used as a litter tray, had to get rid of it all and put stones down instead - though not gravel as another neighbour did that and all the cats now go round there!

ditto i'm afraid!!

pesky ginger thing from the house behind us has RUINED the play area that dh created for the dc's by crapping in it..

cat doo doo STINKS and you can't see it in amongst the bark chippings, it also carries lots of nasty germs.

dh in a temper said he was going to hang his arse over the fence and crap in their garden.. now that would suprise them

Hmm we didn't have that I was about to post NO

we got big rough ones to go round the sand pit and swings. Haven't had a problem with cats at all.

BettySpaghetti · 24/02/2008 20:50

JingleyJen -thats not because you've got a huge great dog that scares all the cats off is it
