So this has happened to my hydrangea (see pic). I don't know if I deadheaded it too soon or too low down or what but what can I do with it? Shall I cut the stick bits off?? Excuse my ignorance 🙈

Yes cut off all the brown bits, it's got lots of nice new growth so will be fine.

I agree. I had similar with one of mine which caught the frost. Just cut back the dead twigs and it will come good.
