What's wrong with my Chinese money plant?

I have two small plants that I took off of a larger plant. They've both been left for a couple of weeks while we've been on holiday, one on a north facing windowsill, and one near a south facing window. The north facing one now looks really yellowish and sickly. Do you think this is lack of light? Seems unlikely given the larger plant is doing fine in the same location. Or lack of water? Also seems unlikely given the one which was in the warmer room/ with more sun is doing fine. Or something else? Thanks!

Is the other one on the windowsill? I’m no plant expert but whenever I put plants on windowsills - even north facing they seem to go bad in some way or another. I don’t really know why but I’ve found plants a bit away from the window seem happier.

Overwatered (soil looks dark) and lack of light? But not sure really, I'd read they liked bright indirect light. Have just seen a baby at the edge of the pot of my one so will follow with interest...

@neverenoughchelseaboots the other one is not on a windowsill, no, but pretty close by. @ChaoticCrumble i gave them a really good water before I went on holiday, but it was dry when i got back... the photo was taken after I had watered it again. But perhaps I gave it too much water for the conditions given it wouldn't have had the heat or sun, and therefore it drowned! I'll see off it perks up, but luckily the other one looks good!
