What's the name of this pink flower on Brighton sea front?

Snapped this one yesterday as I finished a long walk from Saltdean to Brighton. It's an obvious one - more pink than it appears in the photo. But I don't know its name - can anyone tip me off?

It's a mallow - I live just down the road in shoreham which is a nature reserve beach and covered in them this time of year

They're some kind of Mallow. All over Cornwall in May. You can get something similar for the garden - Lavatera
