Clematis: dead, isn't it?

😢

Hampshire, no signs of life, second half of May.

I think that real cold snap in winter did for it, among quite a few other old plants.

Wisteria appears to have survived, so I guess I'll replace it.

I've lost quite a few plants this year, I think if the heat wave didn't kill them the frost did 😕

Also lost two clematis's, a hydrangea, an established shrub fuchsia and I realised today my verbena look dead as well.

I have gone out and bought 5 new plants today though 😉

I’ve lost 15😞
2 sets Canterbury Bells
Michaelmas Daisy
Perennial Sweet William
3 x phlox
Thrift
Rock rose
3 x clematis
1 x delphinium.
Had to buy a whole load of new ones. Oh dear what a shame!

I've lost several plants this year, but my (extremely exposed to open fields) clematis is full of flowers.

Interesting.

I also lost my agapanthus and only half of my normally prolific cannas (corms, overwintered in a sack in my shed) sprouted.

Also got far fewer flowers, like 2 irises from 12 plants.
