I was given this plant as a seedling and was told it was a peony. Maybe a yellow crown peony? I’ve had it a few years now and all it has done is get bigger. When I google it it comes up as an evergreen blackberry but that doesn’t really fit.
it was previously planted in a raised bed but I have to move it and I’d like to know what it’s going to turn into before I plant it again!

It could be a tree peony!

I agree, it’s a tree peony

Yes a tree peony. I had the same one but sadly it died.

Once it’s matured it will have lovely yellow flowers.

My father’s tree peony had massive double pink flowers that reminded me of cabbages. So I let the suckers grow, and slowly the tree peony is losing vigour and being taken over by the rootstock with smaller dark pink single flowers with masses of yellow stamens - a great improvement.

My random self seeded ones are all yellow. Pink would be nice.

Mine has a small handful of pretty average yellow flowers that last about 5 mins. Luckily for it the foliage is useful. It has also resisted all attempts to be dug up and chucked. So I would say don’t get overexcited, just in case.

These weren’t. Imagine a French marigold, in bright pink, and the size of a football
