hi, we are moving to a house in a few weeks with a lawn - we've never had a lawn, so have no mower. Any recommendations? I would prefer to spend less than £100 if possible. I've had a look at B&Q and Argos, but reviews are really mixed for each model.
Space at front is grassed (approx 4x4m maybe? a bit more perhaps) and back will get turfed eventually - it's wider but not as deep - so perhaps 8m x 3? I'm rubbish with estimating dimensions. So, I think that might well count as 'small' (although ti seems big to us!) if that impacts on choice of mower.
Also, with turfing - we will probably lay this ourselves as builders have said will remove stones and lay some topsoil down. do you put turf right to the edge of fence, or leave a gap? I was hoping to grow some nice plants and transplant some from current garden, but would like to have a decent lawn in the middle to use.
