Orange rose - scented but blooms not too big

As ever overwhelmed by choice.

Does anyone know of a nice orange rose that doesn’t have massive sized blooms please? My my garden is small (Gertrude Jekyll looked big and far too pink). My friend gave me a pale orange one ( Buff Beauty)but it quickly fades to white and with the rather dull shape it looks a bit insipid.
I don’t mind a salmon pink but I don’t want any yellow either beginning or end.. Scent and pretty petals would be good.

Would you accept apricot?

Sorry, the image didn't load from the site. Here's a photo.

I've got the above rose too. Have a look at David Austen. I get all my roses from there.

I've got an 'orange apricot' bed with David Austin's Roald Dahl and Lady of Shalllot - both quite small flowers and lovely scent.

Try 'Bowled Over' (not a David Austin)

I've got a few apricot-orange rose bushes, but most wouldn't suit you as they have larger flowers. Like a pp I shop at David Austin and also The Fragrant Rose Company.

I like Lady of Shalott, but also favour Roald Dahl and my favourite, Dame Judi Dench. Take a look.

I pick on the health and rain resistance, fragrance and pretty blooms which repeat, but I also like a nice leaf and overall form.

Maybe look at Lady Emma Hamilton or Port Sunlight for smaller flowers.

I have Lady of Shalott a David Austin rose. It's really lovely.

Warm Welcome. It’s a climber, but doesn’t get very big. I’ve got it growing up an arch. You could grow it on an obelisk or train it against a wall or fence. Small, vivid orange flowers, It blooms its pants off all summer and the smell wafts across the whole garden. Zero fading or yellow. It’s one of my absolute favourite roses - and I have a lot!

Mmm. Maybe? @GrouchyKiwi I like the orange but it looks like if fades to yellow which I don’t want. But maybe they all do
And thanks for those recommendations everyone ,I’ll have a look .

Roald Dahl

The lovely thing about Roald Dahl is that the blooms are supposed to be 'peach like', as in James and the Giant.

I've got both of these too and I would also recommend them. The rosarian, Michael Marriot also has the Lady of Shallot as one of his top picks if that sways you at all. I think Roald Dahl smells better but Lady of Shallot is a proper orange colour.

I have this growing up the porch at my front door, people always comment on it. It’s a bit unusual as it’s single blooms, good for the bees. It smell divine and flowers all summer.

Emily Gray. Old variety, so not repeat flowering. Apricot and stays apricot. Lovely flower shape, and an apple-y scent. Deserves to be better known.
