What's happened to my Malus Rudolph?

I'm worried my baby tree is poorly but don't know how to help it, if at all?

I paid to have it planted (tree sponsorship) and it was fine to begin with and seemed to flourish with gorgeous pink flowers. In the last 10 days or so, the flowers have wilted and the leaves are turning yellow/brown. What's going on? I've reported it to our local council but hoping it'll recover soon- I'm strangely attached to it.

How long ago was it planted?

Late February and it was just tiny leaves at that point. It then bloomed spectacularly over Easter and now this... could it be dehydrated? I know baby trees need a lot of watering to begin with but no one has been round to do anything to it.

I would start watering it. Two gallons (large bucketful) per square metre.
