Stem ok. Droopy leaves.

It’s a bit early to have a dahlia outside. Maybe the cold has got it? They don’t like it if the night time temp drops below about 12-15c, and it’s been 7c overnight this week.

Is in a zippy with others( unmunched) all fine.

Are you sure it doesn't need watering if the stem is OK?
If it's definitely being slugged, you need to find it and kill remove it.
It might recover but only if you kill remove the slug.
I hate dahlias, they always get eaten in my garden.

It should be ok. One of my young dahlias got badly munched in spring last year, and it wasn't the best dahlia I had but recovered quite well and flowered etc.
