There are so many this year!

A neighbour told me that dandelions will choose to grow where the soil is poor and will improve it. I wonder if it’s true?

I know they're good for bees but I always get rid in the garden. There's loads in the fields round here and they spread like nothing else (well apart from bastard ground elder). They also get really big leaves if you leave them long enough and kill everything else off under the leaves. I'm a huge fan of lots of wild flowers, but not dandelions in my garden.

I have been on my hands and knees digging the buggers up by hand today, they take over the garden, l don't like using any pesticides, esp when birds are feeding young so l bought a tool off Amazon, very cheap and does a good job.
I have got a few wild areas in my garden but the dandelions do need keeping in check.

Our lawn is full of them, I like to think of I as an ecological choice and not laziness…

Absolutely love them, the sunshine in my lawn, they just make me smile.

I love dandelions! It's just as well, because there's no point in taking them out of the lawn here - they grow wild everywhere.

I went to Wisley recently and they had quite a lot growing in their grass there which made me feel much better about mine as a positive choice.
