I have been watching a lady on you tube. Her channel is Dig plant water repeat.

she has a certain part of her garden set up for annuals. ( I see why by the way her front garden is set up )

I wondered if others do that in certain places in their gardens.

I suppose I do in a way as I have my pots for the seeds I grow. I have a lavender bed as it is too hot for most other things. And a shade garden. But most are done due to weather placement. so I wondered if others have certain beds for certain things. If u do. Why?

I do. I want to make the garden an interesting place to walk around, with different plants in different areas. And entice myself out into it in rubbish weather, so the “winter garden” is towards the far end.

I don’t want the garden to be all the same thing, just large. I want the experience-of sitting in it to be different depending on where I am.

So not dedicated beds (my mother had rose beds and a polyanthus bed), but plants that I have in abundance confined to particular areas even though they’d be happy anywhere. Hellebores are in the orchard and “woodland”; I use different shade lovers round the lawn and under the medlar and mulberry. Primroses in the orchard and lawn, but only the yellow ones are allowed in the lawn, the coloured ones are confined to the orchard.
