Easily done. As is cutting through the branch you meant to keep rather than the one you intended to prune.

You could rummage in the compost bin and see if you could retrieve it

I think I did the same last year.🤦🏻‍♀️And yep done the pruning thing too.

Sticking a cane in the ground by anything likely to disappear for the winter may help
