ID help please

Hi,

Does anyone know what this is please?

Hard to see on pics. It's maybe more than 12ft. Thick stems. Deciduous. I dont think it flowers

App says willow

It's in a bogg/dyke body of water

It probably is a willow given they like boggy ground, and the fact that it appears to have sprouted up from a 'stool' after being cut down.

I can't see the leaves very clearly but could it be a goat willow?

And willows do flower - they have catkins. Goat willow has male and female catkins on different trees - the male catkins are the "pussies"
