I have several of these in my garden - all currently ailing after doing just fine for the preceding 6 years (when they were first planted). From a bit of research they don't like too much water - and they have clearly struggled in the excessive and persistent heavy downpours for the first couple of weeks of January which were much worse than seasonally typical. What do I do to support them - any actions I can take? Don't really want them all to bite the dust

If they were mine, I would dig them up, inspect the roots, (assume they’re not rotted) split, put in pots in a dry sheltered place until the drier weather starts. Then trans plant them, around 6 weeks later chop them down and hope they live.
