Indoor begonia leaves curling (PHOTO)

My indoor begonia lives in the conservatory, but I realised this week it was probably too cold for it given the snow outside. When I went to rescue it, the leaves were curling. I brought it inside to a relatively cool room, as I've read big changes in temperature make the curling worse, but the leaves seem worse now!

What should I do? Leave it where it is in the cool (indoor) room? Put it back in the conservatory? Help! It was such a majestic plant before this.

I’m useless at house plants but I have a memory of someone cutting them back really hard so they come again in the spring

Thank you! And is that indoor or outdoor begonia?

Indoor

OP can I start this by saying I know nothing about indoor begonias (and I don't particularly like the outdoor.ones) but I felt a little sorry for your plant. You've probably done your own googling and may have seen the RHS advice but jic

The minimum temperature seems quite high, if your plant was chilled for a long time I'd think it would loose much, or all, of its top growth. So, the pp advice of a hard prune is probably sound. I hope there's still life below the soil to bring it back. Fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle.

I'd leave it where it is now, and keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks all 😞 I've done a hard prune and am waiting for my Christmas miracle.
