Fatsia Japonicas - Frost Protection?

I have a few Fatsia Japonicas, green fingers & spiders web variety (planted in ground). Now that the frost is here and I realise I maybe too late but do I need to wrap them? The leaves are frozen! If I do need to wrap, do take the leaves off & just wrap the stem or wrap the whole thing? This is my first year of having them & I really don’t want them to die!

I have several fatsia in the ground and while they don't like frost too much as the leaves flop, they cope okay with it.

I have two huge ones well established and one teeny one (in a year). They should be fine

I've been wondering the same, my spiderweb looks very sad this morning, but I hope it will bounce back....

They are drama queens. A few bits may go black for very young growth in a frost but they are really tough plants.

I have one that is 5 metres high. It would not have got there without resisting the frost!

Never wrapped our quite elderly fatsias. They always pick up when it warms up. Take off the dead leaves in spring and they’re good to go.

Thanks for the replies. So I don’t need to remove any leaves that looked droopy/dying/brown?

All my fatsia are drooping. If green leaves, do not remove.

I m in south Scotland - mine is in a tub and dies back losing all its leaves but comes agoin in the summer

Just to say that since the slight warm up here in the south then the fatsia have now bounced back and look fine. They are tough plants
