When do you cut back evergreen perineal bushes? Minr have gone a bit mad

What kind of plants are they in particular OP?

If they are flowering evergreens (like viburnum tinus for instance), then cut them back immediately after they have flowered, otherwise you cut all the buds off and they won't flower at all.
