What is the cheapest/easiest way to securely fence the bottom end of a garden?

Looking into getting a Greyhound but the lad i spoke to said the garden must be secure, 6ft high if possible! The bottom end of mine isn't!

So what is the cheapest way of doing it?

for 6' high you need a professional! see through (eg chain link) or not (eg panelling?)

Panelling is quite cheap, and you can do it yourself. Six foot of solid barrier is quite enclosing though. I have six foot panels on one side and five foot with a foot of trellis on the other. The trellis side is much much nicer. You can do it yourseff, but it really needs two people. The main work is digging the holes for the posts, and the main effort is lining it all up properly.

I think it needs to be panelling not see through so that the dog can't spot anything through it and try to escape!

I don't think i could do it myself TBH. And as its right at the bottom of a quite long garden i don't think it would enclose it too much.

I guess i will have to phone a few people for quotes. Oh well!

We are in the process of refencing ours. I've spent most of the day tearing down the old fence and removing the old fence posts. Flipping heck - for an old falling down rickety fence those posts are really hard work to remove. One of them is being a really stubborn b*gger. I think I may regret doing this bit myself later.....

wow badkitten that sounds like hard work. Are the old post cemented in?

I only have to put up a wire fence. The lady came to look at it today. Once it is done i can rehome a greyhound.
