Hi all
I'm a beginner gardener
Filled my borders with a mass of plants this year and now it's eve of summer I'm not sure how to prep for winter!
I've got a rambling rose
A rose bush
Clematis
A buddlia

And a load of stuff I don't know, even if they're perennial or annual.

Help me!

rambling rose… do nothing
rose bush .. chop it a bit
clematis… depends entirely on which it is.
buddlia … chop in march to about a foot from the ground.

that’s a rough guide on the plants. Assuming all your plants have labels, they should have a guide to care. just google them if not, or plantNet app is quite good at telling you what they are !

Photo would help? But if you do nothing it will all be fine, we only prune and tidy for looks not for health. Generally anything that flowers that you're not sure about but want to cut back cut it back immediately after flowering.

Pruning is more for your benefit than theirs, so don’t agonise about it
