Tree access/problem

I am in a square mid terrace of Period townhouses on all sides. All our gardens face inwards to this square made up of all our gardens. There are no alley ways or anything. There’s just a tiny scrap of land in the middle of it but tiny. I’m in the middle of one
of the sides of the square. Theres a massive tree in my garden and I was wondering if it ever needed chopping down and the roots digging out how would anyone do it? It’s huge and they wouldn’t be able to get their equipment in surely? All the houses are 4 stories too so lifting equipment over wouldn’t be easy especially as the roads are narrow tiny roads. I feel like to get the tree out if I needed or if there was a dispute it would be literally impossible! Has anyone been in a similar position?

I'd guess they'd use a mobile chipper and bring it through your house and then take everything out through the house too.

You might not be able to have the roots ground out but could have the tree chopped down and removed in pieces through your house. The roots would eventually rot away.

They’d come in through your house, and if take it down branch by branch from the top. They’d chainsaw it up in your garden. The waste wood would go out through your house.
