Fatsia Japonica orange hairs on stems

Please help!

I was bought a fastia japonica for indoor growing in a nice pot.

Some of the leaves have curled up and died. Others look large and healthy but on closer inspection there are a couple of dark spots.

Some of the stems seem to have a dusting of a very tiny orange hair-like substance. I can get it off with my finger and blow it away.

I would love this plant to survive! Anyone have any ideas what's wrong?? I don't believe we have over or under watered.

Thank you!

New leaves often have this orangey appearance. Some of the leaves are probably suffering from the dry air.
I grow mine outside and it’s quite robust, although it does like a lot of water.

I think of them as outdoor plants….

Oh, OK, thank you! I have set it outside today, maybe that will help! Some of the leaves have spots now ☹️

Also watered it a bit more. How often would you say you're having to water in summer? (I'm in UK, currently very warm).
