I don't have a garden at the front of the house, just a large half barrel and I'm keen to have it looking pretty all year.
If I planted lots of spring bulbs (lasagna style) and then planted lupins on top would that work? Or would the lupins object to being shoved around from underneath by loads of spring bulbs?
That would keep the barrel looking pretty until about July. Anything I could add to get a bit on colour from July/August onwards or is that pushing my luck?!
