Best climbing flowering plant for under glass

Hi all, we have had an extension at the back of our house and a bed against a south facing wall is now as a result underneath a glass topped pergola. I would like a climbing plant ideally heavily scented with lots of flowers, ideally something that will grow quickly. I previously had jasmine there (it didn't at that time have the glass roof) and it was very slow to do anything so clearly didn't like the spot. The soil is fairly shallow and since its under the glass roof it will be fairly dry since water won't get to it unless we I water it.

Any suggestions?

would a climbing rose be ok under glass?

The rose will be fine under glass but will struggle with shallow soil and little water. They like lots of fertile, moist soil.

Bougainvillea might be an option, as they do like poor soil, like full sun (south facing so may excuse the glass), will appreciate the protection the glass brings, flowers a lot and are evergreen and scented...

They hate the frosts, though so may need some extra care in winter - such as making sure the soil remains dry so they are not cold and wet. Much will depend on where in the country you are, the weather you get and how much protection that glass bring.

The most cold-hardy variety is www.westdalenurseries.co.uk/shop/bougainvillea-braziliensus/

Plumbago capensis maybe.
