Please had anyone got any advice. This happens a lot. Dh is cross! has tried cayenne pepper. Tbf We Don't even know if it's a squirrel, cat, rodent, rat.

1st picture, 2nd plant in, at the back.
2nd picture, white bulb exposed.
3rd, dig right down, taken out all soil, to the bottom of the tray!

Every night. We come down in the morning to plants gone. I want a drastic action, no pleasantries! We are passed that. I want poison / rat killer, hardcore stuff.

Are they eating them. I've had voles who whip off the leaves and carry them to a hiding place.
I don't know why they are eating them.

Is it hedgehogs or badgers looking for worms?

I’d probably consider poison if my Chelsea flower show garden was being attacked but for those planters… have a word with yourself!

This is going to sound very odd. But it has worked a treat.
we had a similar problem and caught the squirrel red handed in the middle of the day, digging in some troughs. We tried Dh peeing on them - which worked for about a days. What really worked was polishing the car next to the troughs - it was the smell of the polish! So, either polish the edges of the trough with car polish, or stuff a bit of polish soaked rag into the pot. !

I'll try polish thank you Alphabet.
