Product to put between cracks on patio to stop weeds?

Is there a product that I can put between the paving slabs on my patio to stop weeds from growing? The weeding seems endless! No sooner have we cleared them all than the next batch grows! Something similar to grout between tiles?

You can get a dry filler, like a cement for pointing between slabs. Is supposed to need a 5mm gap but might be worth a try.

I've just bought this:

Embrace it and plant something you do like, camomile, mind your own business, thyme.

Our paving was here before we bought the house but it seems to have cement grout between the slabs. We haven't had any issues with weeds in the paving in the 5 years we've been here. Even the bind weed doesn't reach it. That's being said, I quite like the suggestion of thyme or mind your own business being planted in between paving slabs and now wish ours wasn't grout!

I’ve tried vinegar, salt and weed killer. Nothing stops the buggers !

I'm clearing mine and planting purple creeping thyme

Year as ago where we used to live we had this problem and we bought a gas canister weed burner and told the last teenager still living at home that under no circumstances were they to touch it.

This meant they begged and begged to use it and there was no finer sight than seeing a teenager with no interest in gardening, up and at 'em with her 'flamethrower' blasting the weeds away!

Ooh that sounds amazing, any downsides?

Exactly. I have chamomile and thyme, and it’s wonderful, hardy and delicious-smelling.

The weed burner did exactly what it said it would do and we had no damage to any of our slabs.

I suppose it could cause damage if misused but my daughter found it very satisfying to destroy weeds. It's quite addictive apparently!

Paving sand brushed into the gaps should suppress the weed growth.
